NikeCraft x Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe - 'Studio'

The Beaverton-based brand has teamed up once again with visual artist Tom Sachs to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their NikeCraft collaboration. This time, the New York-based designer wanted to create the simplest trainer possible. So simple that it aims to make us live things to the fullest, to be completely ourselves, because our trainers shouldn't be the most interesting thing about us. 

The NikeCraft Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe Light Cream features a beige mesh base, complemented by off-white suede overlays. A white iron-on swoosh adorns the panels of the so-called "boring" low top. Several royal blue details are incorporated via embroidered pull-on straps on the tongue and heel. A gum midsole and black waffle outsole complete the minimalist design. 

Durable and versatile, this new silhouette from Nike reminds us that beauty comes from creating a bond with the objects we own: we stain them, we tear them, we repair them.
